Star Wars Charity Auction

TC#1
So here's something pretty exciting. It's been in the works for a good while now, but these things can take time ... and now I can announce it!

A bunch of truly wonderful Aussie Star Wars fans have organised a charity auction to raise money for the victims of the February bushfires in Victoria. Sean Williams and I got together, wondering how we could help, and we came up with the idea to auction off a character in our upcoming Star Wars novels. Lucasfilm gave us their blessing, so now two lucky Star Wars fans with deep pockets *g* can win a walk on appearance in the Star Wars universe!

The winning bidders will have their names given a Star Wars makeover, and the new name will be assigned by us to one of our original characters.

You can go here for a full rundown of the auction.

Please help spread the word, because this is a very very very worthy cause.

Oh I really hate being jobless and broke.

But I have put up a link, and I hope some people who think this as nifty an idea as I do will come your way! (And I hope their wallets aren't as motheaten as mine.)

Rock star! Thank you so much. The auction went really well, raising $1725. I'm shocked and thrilled.

I know. It's so, so gratifying. Fandom sometimes drives me bugshit bonkers, but then I remember why I love it. *g*

This is a great initiative, one which I will support. I already put the link on my main page of www.starwarstimeline.com, and have made a bid on the KJA Young Jedi Knights original manuscript (once a book-fan, always a book-fan)...

Sigh. Again with the running behind. Life is too full of stuff to do!

Thanks for that. I hope you win your bid. It's a great cause, and your support is hugely appreciated.
