Well, Present Laughter has now opened. Fingers crossed for a good run ... *g*
I celebrated the fact by coming down with a gastrobug, but that's all sorted now. Slowly getting back to speed with the exercise thang. Yesterday I took a mental health day (yes, I know, most likely it's too late) and did a sculpture workshop. I've always wanted to do sculpture but have been putting it off. But since my mantra for this year, and all the years left to me, is No Excuses, No Limits, I put my foot down and found the time. Coincidentally, my good mate and artistic genius pal Elaine stumbled across the Sydney Sculpture School, so we toddled off there yesterday to do a 3 hour stint. The project was sculpting a female torso from an exemplar. I had so much fun I can't begin to tell you. My head is now not only full of plotlines and characters and maps, but faces I want to sculpt. I think this might be the key to finding a way to stay creative but get out of my head. We'll see ...
In book news, today is Map Day. I'm working out the geography of the world of Tarnished Crown. After that comes the sorting out of plotlines and characters. And then ... gasp ... breaking new ground. That's scary. I'm also getting ready to start on Rogue Agent. Thanks to life I'm a bit behind on that, but all will come good in the end.
In the meantime, I am going to show off my first attempt at a sculpture.

That's pretty good sculpturing, too! Especially for a first attempt.
And yay for mappings! And for books! I like books. Especially yours. :D

I've modeled for a sculpture class before. They all certainly seemed to enjoy the time!
Yay for Present Laughter! Fingers crossed...
Always look forward to your stories.
