Bleah. And bugger. And uuurrggghhh.

Yes. I'm lurgified.

It's all my fault for saying my momentum would pick up. Ha! My momentum has come to a screeching halt.

Boo hiss.

I'm not completely bedridden. I can get about, which is useful, because I have lunch today with my globetrotting editor. But writing is hard, with the permanent headache. I can read a bit. So yesterday I read about airships, research for the next Gerald book. Wow. Who knew? I'll burble more in due course. But wow. When the fossil fuel runs out, I can totally see us going back to international travel via airship.

But right now I have to go take some Neurofen plus. Today I buy Codral. And then I soldier on. Sigh.

Is Neurofen Plus the one with Codeine in?

I wish we could get that over the counter in America, but alas, our insane drug policies mean that anything that might possible work or make you feel better is kept under lock and key and should you get a script for anything with a "controlled substance" in it the pharmacy people give you the hairy eyeball.

When I was in the UK and got horrifically sick a few years ago I was astonished at how professional and efficient the drugstore workers were.

By the way, I know you were an original SFNovelists member but did you know the group has relaunched and grown by several orders of magniture? I don't know whether I mentioned it before, but if you need to rejoin I can sort it out for you.
